The type of personal information we collect
We currently collect and process the following information:
- Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, name and contact details)
- Freelance attributes (acting, dancing, fight scenes etc)
- General availability (days of the week, hours from/to)
How we get the personal information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
- To provide your skills to businesses wanting to use motion capture to increase job opportunities for you.
We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:
- We take information from Creative UK where it is relevant to our region, important for freelancers and businesses wanting talent to further job prospects.
The data we share will only be available only to registered users, these being freelancers and businesses offering work.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
Consent, but with the right to withdraw: Contract, between freelancer and business entity hiring mocap talent.
(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting contact@mocapfreelancer.com.
(b) We have a contractual obligation to provide information regarding freelances and hiring businesses for purposes of providing real-time motion capture.
(c) We have a legal obligation to share data between contracting parties solely for the purpose of real-time motion capture.
(d) We have a vital interest. Should we be advised of an opportunity which might necessitate sharing of data for the sole purpose of providing employment opportunities.
(e) We need it to perform a public task. The task is from a lawful public entity who requires us to share such information.
(f) We have a legitimate interest to manage the database only. We will never share data with any 3rd party outside this portal.
How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored.
We keep the base data you have provided for 2 years and will check with you to ensure it is still relevant. Should you need to delete your record, or we have not received a response for confirmation your data is still correct, will then dispose your information by purging it from our database.

Under data protection law, you have rights including:
Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
Your right to rectification - You have the right to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to complete information you think is incomplete.
Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information.
Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to you, in certain circumstances.
You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
